# Terms of Service & Platform Rules

> Legal agreement governing ticket purchases, QR check-in rules, society payout obligations, and acceptable use on UniTix.

# Terms of Service & User Agreement

By registering an account, purchasing digital passes, or operating a society dashboard on **UniTix** (`unitix.aarx.online`), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before accessing the platform.

***

## 1. Platform Scope & Role

UniTix provides software infrastructure, digital ticketing, and payment verification tools for university student societies and campus attendees. **UniTix acts strictly as a technology provider and intermediary.** We do not own, organize, produce, or physically manage the events listed on our marketplace. Organizing societies are solely responsible for event safety, logistics, venue management, and fulfillment of advertised itineraries.

## 2. Student & Attendee Terms

### A. Digital Passes & QR Code Integrity

* **Non-Transferable by Screenshot:** Digital passes issued by UniTix contain dynamic, cryptographically signed JSON Web Tokens (`qrToken`). Presenting a screenshot, printout, or screen recording of another user's QR pass is strictly prohibited and classified as ticket fraud.
* **Single-Entry Enforcement:** Each QR code permits exactly one entry per registered attendee. Once scanned by a Gate Scanner, the token is permanently locked as `Used`. Subsequent scan attempts will trigger a security rejection (`Already Scanned Today`).
* **Official Ticket Transfers:** If you wish to gift or transfer your pass to another student, you must use the official **Ticket Transfer Engine** (`/transfer/[id]`). Initiating or completing a transfer automatically and permanently revokes your original QR code (`qrToken`).

### B. Scalping & Unauthorized Resale

Selling, scalping, or attempting to auction UniTix digital tickets above their original face value (`PKR`) is strictly prohibited. Any account found engaging in unauthorized commercial ticket scalping will be immediately suspended, and all associated active tickets will be voided without refund.

## 3. Society Organizer & Admin Obligations

### A. KYC & Information Accuracy

Society Presidents must provide accurate, verifiable identity records during onboarding (`CNIC` copies, official university `IBAN`, Faculty Advisor contact details). Submitting forged university credentials or fraudulent bank account numbers will result in immediate society suspension, permanent forfeiture of pending funds, and reporting to university administration.

### B. Venue Capacity & Overcrowding Safety

Organizers are strictly bound to accurately input their physical venue's maximum legal capacity (`Overall Capacity`) inside the Event Builder. Attempting to circumvent capacity locks, issuing unauthorized side-gate entries, or deliberately overcrowding a venue violates campus fire safety laws. UniTix automatically halts all ticket sales the exact millisecond the defined venue limit is reached.

### C. Financial Reconciliation & Payouts

* **Platform Fees:** UniTix deducts a global baseline fee (`2.5%`) or negotiated custom percentage (`customFeePercentage`) from gross ticket sales to cover gateway overhead, server scaling, and SMS operations.
* **Payout Timelines:** Organizers may request a withdrawal of their clean take-home `Available Balance` via the `Wallet` tab upon successful conclusion of their event. UniTix processes direct bank wire transfers (`IBFT / EFT`) to the society's registered IBAN within `3 to 5 business days` following audit verification.

***

## 4. Refund & Dispute Policy

* **Dynamic Society Policies:** Cancellations and refund penalty splits (`Society Cut`, `Platform Cut`, `Student Refund`) are dictated strictly by the multi-tier policy configured by the organizer at event launch.
* **24-Hour Remorse Grace Period:** Students requesting cancellations within `24 hours` of purchase (where the event is `>48 hours` away) are entitled to a full `100% refund`.
* **Event Cancellations:** If an organizing society cancels, postpones, or fails to execute an advertised event, the society is legally obligated to provide `100% full refunds` to all ticket holders without penalty deductions.

***

## 5. Account Suspension & Termination

UniTix reserves the right to suspend, terminate, or restrict access to any student account, volunteer scanner, or organizing society found violating these Terms of Service, attempting to reverse-engineer our QR cryptographic validation APIs, or engaging in fraudulent payment screenshot submissions.
