# Public Certificate & Credential Verification

> How employers, HR recruiters, and university admissions officers verify student attendance certificates instantly without logging in.

# Zero-Trust Credential Verification

In an era of easily manipulated PDF certificates and graphic design forgeries, UniTix guarantees academic integrity through our **Public Zero-Trust Verification Portal** (`unitix.aarx.online/verify-certificate`). Anyone holding a UniTix attendance certificate can be audited in seconds against our live cryptographic database.

## 1. How to Verify an Attendance Certificate

There are two instant methods to verify any student's credential without creating an account or logging into UniTix:

### Method A: Scanning the Embedded QR Code

Every physical or digital certificate issued by UniTix includes a high-contrast QR code stamped directly into the bottom right corner.

1. Point any smartphone camera or QR reader at the certificate's QR code.
2. The scanner automatically redirects to our live verification URL:
   `https://unitix.aarx.online/c/[Certificate-UUID]`
3. The verification page immediately queries our serverless backend and displays the **Official Verification Verdict**.

### Method B: Manual UUID Lookup (`/verify-certificate`)

1. Open `unitix.aarx.online/verify-certificate` on any web browser.
2. Locate the unique **Certificate ID / UUID (`Cert-UUID`)** printed at the bottom of the document (`e.g., cert-8812-abcd-9988`).
3. Enter the ID into the search bar and click **Verify Credential**.

## 2. Understanding Verification Verdicts

| **🔴 INVALID / FORGED**     |  Red Alarm Badge  | The Certificate ID does not exist in the global ledger, or the student never physically checked in at the gate (`checkedIn: false`). **Document is a forgery.**            |
| **🟡 REVOKED CERTIFICATE**  | Amber Alert Badge | The certificate was officially revoked by the organizing society or platform administration due to post-event disciplinary action or ticket cancellation.                  |

## 3. Why University Gate Check-ins Matter

Unlike standard online course certificates that generate simply upon clicking a button, UniTix certificates require **Physical Gate Scan Validation (`/scan`)**. If a student purchased a ticket but did not present their QR pass at the venue entrance during the event (`status: approved` instead of `status: used`), our API routes **strictly block certificate generation and claim endpoints**.

This mathematical guarantee gives university faculty, prospective employers, and scholarship committees 100% confidence that the student physically attended and participated in the academic program.
