# Digital Tickets & QR Passes

> How to access your mobile ticket passes, understand cryptographic QR validation, and present your ticket at the gate.

# Your Digital QR Pass

UniTix eliminates paper tickets and physical printouts. Once your ticket purchase or free claim is confirmed, your smartphone becomes your official pass to the event.

## 1. Accessing Your Tickets

1. Log into your **Student Dashboard** (`unitix.aarx.online`).
2. Click **My Tickets** in the top navigation bar.
3. You will see a grid of all your active, pending, and past event passes.
4. Click on any active card to expand the **Full-Screen Digital Pass**, which displays:
   * **Hero Visual & Event Title**
   * **Verified Student Full Name & Roll Number**
   * **Assigned Ticket Tier (`VIP`, `Early Bird`, `General Admission`)**
   * **High-Contrast Cryptographic QR Code (`qrToken`)**
   * **Live Check-in Status Badge**

## 2. Cryptographic Security & Screenshot Blocking

Unlike standard static QR codes that simply contain a website link or random text, UniTix digital passes generate a dynamic, cryptographically signed token (`qrToken`).

### Why Screenshots Are Strictly Prohibited

To protect campus events from duplicate entries and unauthorized badge sharing:

* **Instant Use Lock:** When the Gate Scanner reads your QR pass at the entrance, your ticket status in the global database instantly flips from `Approved` to `Used`.
* **Double-Scan Rejection:** If a classmate or friend attempts to scan a saved screenshot of your QR code even 30 seconds later, the scanner triggers a loud security alarm displaying: `Warning: Already Scanned Today (Time: XX:XX)`.
* **Offline & Low-Light Presentation:** If your venue entrance has poor cellular reception, pre-load your **My Tickets** page while on campus Wi-Fi. The QR pass remains fully scannable from browser cache, and our high-contrast rendering ensures fast reads even on dim screens.

## 3. Understanding Ticket Status Badges

| Status Badge                | Visual Indicator | Exact Status Meaning                                                                                         |
| :-------------------------- | :--------------: | :----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **🟢 APPROVED / VALID**     |    Green Badge   | Ticket is confirmed, paid/verified, and ready for gate check-in.                                             |
| **🟡 PENDING PAYMENT**      |    Amber Badge   | Your manual payment receipt was uploaded and is awaiting organizer verification.                             |
| **🔵 TRANSFER PENDING**     |    Blue Badge    | You initiated a transfer link. Your QR code is locked until the recipient claims or you cancel the transfer. |
| **🟣 USED / CHECKED IN**    |   Purple Badge   | Your QR pass was successfully scanned at the venue gate.                                                     |
| **🔴 CANCELLED / REFUNDED** |     Red Badge    | Your ticket was voided, refunded, or rejected by the organizer. QR is permanently revoked.                   |
