Quickstart Guide

This guide covers the initial steps for setting up your account on UniTix. The platform enforces strict security checks to ensure that only legitimate students and organizations can access the system.

1. Creating an Account

Navigate to Registration

Go to https://unitix.aarx.online/register and select whether you are signing up as a Student or a Society.

Domain Verification

If you are a student, you must use a valid university email address (e.g., .edu or a recognized institutional domain).
Personal emails (like @gmail.com or @yahoo.com) are blocked by the system to prevent outsiders from buying student-exclusive tickets.

Email Confirmation

After creating your account, Firebase will automatically send a verification link to your inbox. You cannot access the dashboard until you click this link.

2. Navigating the Dashboard

Once verified, you will be redirected to the main /dashboard. Because UniTix is a Role-Based platform, your dashboard will look different depending on who you are:
  • Students: Will see a feed of upcoming events, their active tickets, and waitlist positions.
  • Society Admins: Will see a financial overview, event management tools, and sponsor directories.
  • Scanners: Will instantly be booted into the /scan interface to begin checking people in.

3. The Pinned Sidebar

We know that speed is critical. If you are a Super Admin or a Society Admin, you will notice a small “Pin” icon next to every item in the left navigation sidebar.
Click the Pin icon to instantly move your most-used features to the ”📌 Pinned” section at the top of the sidebar. This preference is saved directly to your browser’s local storage for lightning-fast loading!
