University campus events in Pakistan (and across South Asia) have historically been managed using fragmented, manual, and insecure methods. The consequences are serious:

Societies print paper tokens or send static QR code images via WhatsApp. Students forward these images to classmates. At the gate, volunteers have no way to verify whether a screenshot is legitimate or duplicated. Dynamic 3-Tier Fee System: The platform fee is not a fixed 2.5% for everyone. It follows a 3-level priority hierarchy: (1) An event-specific locked fee rate set at approval time takes highest priority. (2) If no event-level fee exists, a society-specific custom fee rate (negotiated with the platform) is used. (3) If neither exists, the system-wide global default of 2.5% applies. How the 3-Tier Dynamic Platform Fee Works

The UniTix platform fee is not a fixed 2.5% for every society and every event. It uses a hierarchical resolution system with three priority levels:

3 (Default)	Global Platform Default	If neither an event-level nor a society-level fee exists, the system-wide global default applies. The current global default is 2.5%.	A new society with no special arrangement pays the standard 2.5% rate.

Important Fee Rules:

Fee is calculated on the original ticket price: If a society offers a promo code discount (e.g., 50% off), the platform fee is still calculated on the full original base price, not the discounted amount the student pays. This means societies absorb the cost of their own promotional discounts.
Fee is permanently locked at event approval: The moment an event is approved and published, the resolved effective fee percentage is permanently stamped onto that event record. Even if the global default or the society’s custom rate changes later, previously approved events retain their originally locked rate.
Visible in the Wallet: The effective fee percentage for each event is displayed in the Society Wallet financial breakdown, so organizers always know exactly what rate applies to each of their events.
