Financial Operations & Control

Your Wallet and Payments dashboard sections provide transparent, real-time control over every rupee entering and leaving your society’s accounts.

1. Verifying Manual Bank Transfers

To accommodate university students who do not use credit/debit cards, UniTix supports Manual Bank Transfers, JazzCash, and EasyPaisa. When a student checks out via manual transfer, their order enters a Pending Verification state (pending_payment).

The Verification Workflow

  1. Navigate to the Payments tab in your dashboard sidebar.
  2. Review the list of all pending transactions showing:
    • Student Name & Roll Number
    • Ticket Tier & Amount (PKR)
    • Transaction Reference ID (TxID)
    • Uploaded Payment Screenshot
  3. Click View Screenshot to inspect the transfer receipt submitted by the student.
  4. Bank App Audit: Open your official Society Bank, JazzCash, or EasyPaisa app and confirm that the exact amount (PKR) matching that Transaction ID was credited to your ledger.
  5. Take Action:
    • Click Approve if verified: The ticket instantly transitions to Approved, generating a valid digital QR pass (qrToken) for the student.
    • Click Reject if the screenshot is forged or uncredited: The ticket is voided (Cancelled), freeing up the capacity slot for other students or waitlist members.

2. Understanding Net Revenue & Fees

UniTix operates on full financial transparency. Your dashboard metrics clearly differentiate between Gross collection and Net take-home revenue: Net Revenue=Gross RevenuePlatform FeeTotal Refunds\text{Net Revenue} = \text{Gross Revenue} - \text{Platform Fee} - \text{Total Refunds}

How Fees Are Applied

  • Global Platform Fee: By default, UniTix deducts a flat 2.5% platform fee on gross ticket sales to cover infrastructure, automated SMS/email gateways, and server operations.
  • Custom Society Tiers: If your society has negotiated a custom fee tier with university administration (customFeePercentage), that exact custom percentage (0%, 1.5%, etc.) is dynamically calculated and displayed directly on your Net Revenue metric card (Net Revenue (after X% fee)).
  • Refund Deductions: Any tickets approved for a refund are subtracted from both your active sales volume and net take-home calculation automatically.

3. Requesting a Payout

Once your event successfully concludes, you can withdraw your clean Available Balance directly to your society’s bank account.

How to Withdraw Funds

  1. Navigate to the Wallet tab in your dashboard.
  2. Verify that your Society Bank Details (IBAN, Bank Name, Account Title) are securely registered and up to date in your Profile.
  3. Review your Available to Withdraw (PKR) balance (which shows your net revenue minus any previously processed withdrawals).
  4. Click Request Payout.
Once submitted, UniTix Operations audits the event reconciliation and processes a direct wire transfer (EFT / IBFT) to your society’s account within 3 to 5 business days. You can monitor every payout status (Pending, Completed, Rejected) alongside official bank transaction IDs directly in your Payout History ledger.
